Email & Contacts
BlueTie's private label Web client allows you to deliver the very best email application to your customers, including a familiar desktop experience, 10GB of storage and the convenience of anytime, anywhere access via the Web.
BlueTie's Email supports POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP so users who prefer desktop clients such as Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or others can stay comfortable. But it's BlueTie's award-winning, AJAX-based Web client that truly sets us apart. Featuring drag & drop file and folder management, powerful search capabilities, message filters and auto-reply, spell check, Rich Text Formatting (RTF), attachments of up to 25MB and much more.
BlueTie's Contacts management application gives consumer users a fast, simple way to manage their address book, and gives business users a powerful and sophisticated way to store all of their business and personal contacts in one place. And BlueTie's Contacts lets users easily share groups or individual contacts with co-workers, friends and family members, or other associates. Users can share all or just selected portions of their own contact information with others, too. They can even share the URL for their Calendar free/busy info, so even non-BlueTie users can see their availability.
Calendar
BlueTie's powerful AJAX-based calendaring system and integrated task management tool lets users easily track events, meetings, and commitments; schedule events with friends and co-workers; view others' schedules; and collaborate on projects.

Coordinating events and schedules can take place in a matter of minutes rather than hours because BlueTie users can share their calendar with other BlueTie users. Everyone's day laid out in one easy-to-view window. And BlueTie's handy calendar reminder feature can even help those chronically tardy friends and family get to events on time!
Online File Storage and Sharing
BlueTie gives users online file storage and file sharing capabilities, all without the need to purchase a file server, and without the need to implement an expensive and cumbersome VPN for remote access.
BlueTie's Online File Storage lets consumer users store and share photos and files of any type, while business users can store their important documents such as spreadsheets, product specifications and brochures, presentations, contract templates and more - all in a secure environment. Now anyone to whom they've assigned sharing privileges can have access to the latest versions. Files can be organized in folders and sub-folders for easy organization and retrieval.
Instant Messaging (IM)
BlueTie's Instant Messaging (IM) provides a fast and efficient communication platform that lets users instantly communicate with their family, friends, and business associates over the Internet. With IM, users save time and money spent on long distance phone calls and use their time more efficiently.
BlueTie's IM lets users manage multiple conversations at one time and can be used while in any other BlueTie application, helping to increase productivity and improve users' ability to multi-task. And the presence management or "Currently Online" window in BlueTie lets users see which of their contacts are available online, allowing them to choose the most efficient communication medium available, whether that's IM, email or phone.
Industry-Leading Spam & Virus Protection
BlueTie uses industry-leading anti-spam and anti-phishing techniques to protect every account. On the server side, BlueTie uses a variety of spam filtering tools, including multiple Real-Time Blackhole List lookups, relay blocking, header inspection, and an advanced heuristics engine. At the individual account level, users can maintain their own "safe" and "block" lists to further protect their inbox and to individually define senders as either "good" or "bad". BlueTie performs server-side virus scanning to scan each message before it reaches the inbox. If a message contains a parasitic virus that can be removed, our system will attempt to clean it. Trojan horse viruses are stripped, and users receive a clean message. Our virus definitions are updated hourly to guard against new threats.
Extra Protection for Critical or Confidential Material
BlueTie users can also enjoy the ability to send encrypted files. SecureSend™, BlueTie's encrypted file transfer feature, lets users send files of up to 100MB with complete confidence, knowing that their confidential data will remain secure. SecureSend uses both asynchronous 128-bit triple-DES and synchronous AES encryption to ensure safe delivery of critical data.
Value-Added Services
BlueTie offers a portfolio of optional subscription-based and pay-per-use Value-Added Services which complement its core email, calendaring, and collaboration suite. These VAS offerings represent many of the Web's leading business services, and are designed to help users maximize their productivity. For ISPs these offerings represent high-margin opportunities to offer their users optional upgrades or to benefit from revenue-share arrangements with BlueTie.
Archive Services
BlueTie Archive Services offers a simple and convenient way for your customers to meet their legal compliance and email auditing needs. All inbound and outbound email and attachments are permanently and securely stored online, and can be accessed and searched from any computer with an Internet connection. Our powerful search & retrieval interface lets users search messages and attachments by keyword, sender or recipient, date range and more, enabling fast and convenient review and action.
Email Fax
eFax launched its Internet fax service with the goal of using the convenience of email and the speed of the Internet to make it easier for people to send and receive faxes. BlueTie has integrated eFax's service directly into the Email application, enabling one-click access. BlueTie makes it easy to establish a new eFax subscription, use an existing subscription, or instead take advantage of BlueTie's Fax-On-Demand service. Fax-On-Demand is a low-cost fax service that is used as-needed, without having to commit to monthly payments.
Email Marketing
Constant Contact®, Inc. is a leading provider of on-demand email marketing and online survey tools for small businesses, associations, and nonprofits. BlueTie provides its users with integrated access to Constant Contact through the Email application. Constant Contact subscribers can simply utilize the dropdown menu available from the 'New' button to initiate a new outbound email marketing campaign. Subscribers may also easily export their BlueTie contacts for use as an address list within Constant Contact with just a few clicks.
Travel Planning
Orbitz is a leading online travel agency with a heritage of keeping travelers A Step Ahead™, and they’ve done just that through their integration with BlueTie's Calendar. Users simply click the Book Travel button, define their travel search criteria, and their travel options - such as the available flights, times and costs - are presented in the user’s calendar and viewed in the context of that user’s other scheduled commitments. The integration of BlueTie and Orbitz allows the user to more easily evaluate their travel options in the most natural context – their own schedule. Branding & Administration
Private Labeling
BlueTie supports a comprehensive private labeling solution to ensure that end users see only your brand - not BlueTie's. Our private labeling opportunities encompass the Web client, the End User License Agreement, new user welcome emails, support pages, marketing materials, and more. This broad private labeling availability allows Service Providers to continue to own the relationship with their customers, and to build brand loyalty through the use of a customized interface.
API & Web-based Extranet
BlueTie's XML-driven Application Programming Interface (API) allows partners to readily integrate BlueTie into their existing provisioning, customer service, billing, and technical systems. For those who wish to augment or replace their use of the API, BlueTie also offers its partners a Web-based provisioning, administration, and reporting Extranet. In addition to providing administrators with all of the power of our API, Extranet users can private label the BlueTie interface for their customers.
Enterprise Manager
BlueTie uses the term 'enterprise' to describe a collection of end user accounts - or mailboxes - belonging to a common entity (usually a small to mid-sized business) and sharing a common domain name. The BlueTie Enterprise Manager application provides account administrators with a centralized, Web-based interface for managing their enterprise account. Enterprise Manager combines features including mailbox creation, deletion and locking, assignment of default settings, and a division-based hierarchal control system.
