Value-Added Services
BlueTie offers a portfolio of optional subscription-based and pay-per-use Value-Added Services which complement its core email, calendaring, and collaboration suite. These VAS offerings represent many of the Web's leading business services, and are designed to help users maximize their productivity. For ISPs these offerings represent high-margin opportunities to offer their users optional upgrades or to benefit from revenue-share arrangements with BlueTie.
Archive Services
BlueTie Archive Services offers a simple and convenient way for your customers to meet their legal compliance and email auditing needs. All inbound and outbound email and attachments are permanently and securely stored online, and can be accessed and searched from any computer with an Internet connection. Our powerful search & retrieval interface lets users search messages and attachments by keyword, sender or recipient, date range and more, enabling fast and convenient review and action.
Email Fax
eFax launched its Internet fax service with the goal of using the convenience of email and the speed of the Internet to make it easier for people to send and receive faxes. BlueTie has integrated eFax's service directly into the Email application, enabling one-click access. BlueTie makes it easy to establish a new eFax subscription, use an existing subscription, or instead take advantage of BlueTie's Fax-On-Demand service. Fax-On-Demand is a low-cost fax service that is used as-needed, without having to commit to monthly payments.
Email Marketing
Constant Contact®, Inc. is a leading provider of on-demand email marketing and online survey tools for small businesses, associations, and nonprofits. BlueTie provides its users with integrated access to Constant Contact through the Email application. Constant Contact subscribers can simply utilize the dropdown menu available from the 'New' button to initiate a new outbound email marketing campaign. Subscribers may also easily export their BlueTie contacts for use as an address list within Constant Contact with just a few clicks.
Travel Planning
Orbitz is a leading online travel agency with a heritage of keeping travelers A Step Ahead™, and they’ve done just that through their integration with BlueTie's Calendar. Users simply click the Book Travel button, define their travel search criteria, and their travel options - such as the available flights, times and costs - are presented in the user’s calendar and viewed in the context of that user’s other scheduled commitments. The integration of BlueTie and Orbitz allows the user to more easily evaluate their travel options in the most natural context – their own schedule. Display Ads
The BlueTie Web client features extensive flexibility with respect to display and/or text advertising support, including most Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) recognized ad types.
Administration of display and/or text advertising within the BlueTie Web client is handled via our Extranet, which in addition to supporting display advertising and private labeling administration, can serve as a powerful Web-based complement to our XML-based administration and reporting API.
Integrated Search
Through partnerships with leading Web search engines, contextual search has been integrated into the BlueTie application. Users can access this feature in two ways:
The user can simply type in search terms into the standard search dialog box found in the application header.
They also can access the feature via keyword highlighting within the email application.
After a one-second delay, a dialog appears asking the user whether they'd like to search for the highlighted terms.
Tagline Advertising
BlueTie has partnered with AdKnowledge — a leader in the field of behavioral targeting — to provide our customers with sender and/or recipient-specific, behaviorally targeted tagline advertising in the footers of their users' email messages.
Working with AdKnowledge, BlueTie can insert 1-2 line text-based advertisements into the footers of users' email communications to create a new Cost-Per-Click (CPC) based revenue system.
AdKnowledge technologies use predictive analysis to study how users interact with previously viewed online ads, and forecast the additional offers to which they are most likely to respond. Every day the firm runs more than 10 billion calculations on online consumers to identify the most responsive categories for each individual. However, AdKnowledge recognizes the sensitivity of personal information and consumers' concerns about sharing email addresses with third parties, and has developed a privacy-friendly system of targeting email advertisements to users based on previous response history without accessing actual email addresses themselves.
Customer Communications
BlueTie offers an additional advertising opportunity for our ISP partners' own services through its My Day page. The Announcements section provides an excellent venue for ISPs and Web hosts to speak directly to their users on a regular basis. Talk to users about new products, special upgrade offers or even other partner offers available only to your users. The Announcements section is visible every time a user logs in to the application, generating multiple views per user. BlueTie's My Day Announcements section can support both text and graphics, so as not to restrict the content that can be viewed. The area is also vertically scrollable, so any number of messages and offers can be included.
